BMW SIB 51 33 16 (NHTSA ID 10200233) Manufacturer defect resulting in water slowly backing up into trunk and other parts of car until it completely fills side panels, floor of car, ect. While driving at highway speed on [XXX] I went to put my windows up. Without touching anything else my seat moved backward and I was unable to reach either pedal. Fortunately I was able to maneuver to a point where I was able to regain vehicle control. Obviously this was a life threatening situation which could have been disastrous. The steering wheel airbag has a cut mark, and it feels softer than the rest of the airbag cover. It looks like it may be starting to open.

This is the third Check Engine, Drive train malfunction, Power Supply error messages popped up. Dealership replaced the battery at the first visit, replaced the starter at the second visit. Error messages appeared one week after the second visit to the dealership.

The car has experienced numerous coolant leaks according to the dealer and independent authorized service shops including: - turbo coolant lines - oil filter housing - auxiliary radiator - coolant pump - heat management module - upper radiator hose - expansion tank hose - various other coolant hoses All of this work has been done starting at 46,000 miles and continuing through the current mileage of 88,000 miles. Recall issued January 2026. Letter mailed to me (owner) re: recall in March 2026. Now May 18, 2026 and still no notification as to when this recall will be remedied. Risk is stated as follows: vehicle may catch on fire while operating or also while parked when engine is not running. So instructed to park vehicle outside garage. Recall No 26V-056 Engine Starter BMW 430i year 2022. Purchased at Fields BMW Daytona.

1 week after the BMW dealer replaced the battery under the warranty (after the car was towed due to the power loss from drive train malfunction) Engine Check, Drive train malfunction, and Oil level measurement inactive signals popped up again.

The contact owns a 2023 BMW 430i. The contact received notice of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V056000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that that on several occasions when starting the vehicle there was a hesitation while starting the vehicle. The contact added that the hesitation while starting the vehicle using the key fob was more prevalent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
